Find the right rhythm.
Think about the entire elevation when choosing siding. Window positions, doors, roof edges and adjoining materials all influence the panel layout. A profile that looks good as a sample should also make sense across the building's larger surfaces.
Colour and texture can connect a new exterior to existing stone, wood or masonry. Bring photographs of those materials and examples of the overall look you have in mind. They give the design conversation a useful starting point.
Resolve the edges.
Corners, window surrounds and changes in material are where a siding layout becomes specific to your building. Trim proportions and the way panels finish at openings deserve attention early in the project.
