Who we are and what this policy covers

SRS Metal Exteriors (“SRS,” “we,” “us” or “our”) provides metal roofing and exterior services in Ontario. This policy covers personal information we handle through srsme.ca, these policy pages, our inquiry forms, Facebook and Instagram lead forms, and related calls, emails and project conversations.

Information we collect

• Contact details: your name, email address and phone number, when you provide them.
• Project details: the town or address of your property, the service you are interested in, your preferred timing, and descriptions or photos you choose to share.
• Communications and service records: inquiries, correspondence, estimates and records needed to manage your project.
• Technical information: our website hosting provider may process your IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, request times and error or security logs to deliver and protect the website.

Please provide only information relevant to your inquiry. Do not include payment-card details, government identification, health information or other sensitive information in an inquiry or advertising form.

How we use your information

We use information to respond to your questions, discuss your project, prepare estimates, arrange visits, deliver and administer services, maintain necessary business records, and protect our website and business against misuse.

When you send an inquiry, you ask us to contact you about that request using the details you provide. We seek additional consent when required for a new purpose. Optional promotional emails or text messages are sent only where we have the consent or other permission required by applicable law. Requesting an estimate does not require signing up for ongoing marketing.

Facebook and Instagram lead forms

If you submit a form in one of our Facebook or Instagram ads, Meta makes the details you submit available to SRS. These can include your name, email address, phone number, location and answers to project questions shown in the form. Check any prefilled details before submitting.

We use these details to respond to the request described in the ad or form, discuss suitable services and follow up on your inquiry. Authorized service providers helping us manage advertising or inquiries may process those details on our behalf for these purposes. We do not sell or rent your lead information or give it to other businesses for their own marketing.

Meta handles information collected on its platforms under its own Privacy Policy. Your settings and requests to Meta are separate from requests concerning information already received by SRS. Contact us directly about your SRS inquiry or to withdraw permission for further marketing.

Service providers and other disclosures

We share information only as needed for the purposes described here, with your consent, or as permitted or required by law. This can include authorized personnel and providers who help with hosting, email delivery, communications, advertising administration or carrying out your requested project. Providers acting for us are expected to use information only to perform their services and protect it appropriately.

The website is hosted on Vercel. Website inquiries are sent through Postmark to the inbox designated to handle SRS inquiries; email services also process and store the resulting correspondence. We may disclose information where legally required or necessary to establish or protect legal rights.

Some providers process or store information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information processed in another country may be subject to that country's laws and lawful access by its authorities. Contact us for information about providers handling your personal information.

Cookies, browser storage and advertising

The main SRS website stores your choice to pause or enable its 3D animations in your browser's local storage. That preference is used on your device to remember the setting. You can remove it through your browser's site-data settings.

As of the effective date above, the SRS website does not include the Meta Pixel or Google Analytics tracking scripts. Facebook and Instagram may use their own cookies and advertising technologies when you use their services. You can manage those through your Meta account and browser settings. If we introduce additional website analytics or advertising tracking, we will update this policy and provide any consent choices required before using it.

Retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably needed to handle the inquiry or project, maintain required business records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the information and the purpose. Information no longer needed should be securely deleted or anonymized, subject to lawful retention requirements and backup processes.

We use safeguards appropriate to the information, including encrypted website connections and access limited to people and providers who need it for their work. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and privacy requests

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, ask about its use or disclosure, request deletion, or withdraw consent for future use, subject to applicable legal and contractual limits. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will explain if we cannot fully fulfill it, including where records must be retained.

To stop optional marketing messages, use any unsubscribe option provided or contact us by email or phone. Tell us if you no longer want follow-up on your inquiry. Withdrawing consent may limit our ability to complete a requested service; necessary project or legal communications may still be sent where permitted.

Children and other websites

Our services and inquiry forms are intended for adults planning property projects. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can address it.

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Their operators are responsible for their own privacy practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy with an updated date and provide additional notice or request consent where required. An update does not, by itself, authorize a new use of previously collected information.
